Day 44: Santa Fe, NM to Holbrook, AZ, Monday, August 5, 2013

We went swimming in the Jacuzzi and the pool at the motel 6 in Santa Fe, NM. We stopped at the state capitol building that was an art gallery and a state capitol building. The governor's office was a museum. We drove to Albuquerque and had lunch in the old town. We went to an Indian shop and saw all the funky stuff. We bought a pot, some petrified wood and post cards. We drove through the Petrified Forest National Park. We saw petrified wood in small pieces and big colorful logs. We also saw mountains called teepees and two rainbows under the sky. Next, we came to the motel 6 in Holbrook and ate dinner at a small town restaurant on Route 66. I had salad and ice cream. We saw the Wigwam Motel and we are going to watch Cars tonight.
