We went to Mammoth Cave and took the Historic tour which was 2 miles and 2 hours. It was really cold and bats lived in the cave, but we did not see them. My favorite part was walking up the silver steps through the limestone. I bought a new stuffed animal, an bat named Lexington. We drove to Nashville to see the state capitol and took our picture. It was on Capitol Hill, it was kind of ugly because the stairs didn't lead anywhere and it wasn't put together well. Next, we came to Chattanooga and stayed here because Atlanta got rained out. We ate Greek food and got free ice cream at Green Thumb. We went to the aquarium and swam in the river outside.
Carey and I stayed in Chattanooga for two nights because we couldn't get to Nashville: the highway from Chattanooga to Nashville was under water and my friend there was nervously watching the waters rise in his neighborhood...
ReplyDeleteWe never got to Nashville but we really liked Chattanooga: the train museum & the dragon museum and also the pedestrian walk across the Tennessee river. Lookout Mountain is also beautiful and there is the most amazing funicular you will ever ride!
Sounds like an exciting day
ReplyDeleteChattanooga is amazing. We are headed north today to visit the Tellus Science Museum. Leia is making new friends with 4 dogs and 6 cats who live at my cousin's house!
