Day 8: Salina to Jellystone, KS, Sunday, June 30, 2013

We went to the Rolling Hill Wildlife Zoo. We saw a lion roar, his whole body shook when he roared. We saw an orange orangutan, snow leopard, white tiger and orange tiger, cougar, camel, giraffe, rhinos, tamarins, ring tailed lemur, aardvark, and farm animals. We drove to Manhattan and Leia got to run around and we got a smoothie too. Kansas State University looks like a castle. We stopped in Wamego and went to the OZ museum. We followed the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. We stopped in Topeka and we saw the state capitol, but it was under construction. We took our picture with Abraham Lincoln. We had dinner at Papa Keno Pizza in Lawrence. The pizza was the size of our head, but bigger. We are camping at Jellystone Yogi Bear campground. I jumped on the big jumping pillow and we swam in the pool. I made the fire with sticks and we made smores. Written by Elizabeth Curtis.
