Day 34: Sarasota, FL, Friday, July 26, 2013

I played story cubes with Aunt Marion. We had lunch at the Banana Cabana and had a grouper quesadilla and a platter of plantains. We went to the Mote Marine Science aquarium. We saw sharks, sting rays, jellyfish and cuttlefish. We went to the dolphin lagoon, sea turtle hospital and manatee exhibit. The manatee named Buffett kissed me through the glass. It was too cute, I really wanted to hug it. Ancient sailors thought manatees were mermaids, but they are related to elephants. The dolphin's name was Moonshine. I got a new stuffed animal manatee I named Manatees. I also got a plastic mold manatee, I get one every time I come to Florida. Then we went to Lido Beach and swam at the beach and in the pool next to the beach. We saw sea turtle nests on the beach. Then I had ice cream.  We came back and met Marion's cousin and wife and had dinner with them. Written by Elizabeth Curtis.
