Day 25: Long Key State Park to Cooper City, FL, Wednesday, July 17, 2013

Chapter 1 Storm Incoming
We got wet in a rain storm. The rain fly did not work because it was so windy and rainy. It was like a hurricane with winds over 25 mph. The tent flooded and we got to sleep in the car. The car was very comfortable for me, but not for mommy. I was really scared in the tent so I got mommy's stuffed alligator and crawled under the sheet. Everyone else was trying to hold up the tent so it wouldn't blow away.
Chapter 2 Breakfast at IHOP
I ate a Rooty, Jr., which had a pancake with strawberries and whipped cream and eggs. I fed the bacon and sausage to Leia then she wore my sunglasses.
Chapter 3 Dolphin Research Center
At the Dolphin Research Center, I met two dolphins named Aleta and Merina. Both of the dolphins were pregnant and they were sisters. I pet their backs and I held their flippers. Leia loved talking to the dolphins. I got a new dolphin stuffed animal that I named Miami.
Chapter 4 Lunch at Key Lime Cafe
I had conch fritters and mommy had fish tacos. We saw all these cool trinkets like ceramic frogs and other animals. We had Key Lime Pie for dessert and it tasted like ice cream, it was really yummy.
Chapter 5 Having fun at Michelle's house
We had to leave the Keys early because we were rained out and had to come home. It was too rainy to camp and everything was soaked. I jumped on the trampoline and I played Wipeout on the Xbox with Emily and Zachary. We saw a peacock in the backyard and feed it some bread.
